A (very) busy week this week! Started off at the Skills Committee of the Combined Authority which has a number of exciting projects, including grants for a skills hub covering Ely and Soham.
Then to Wicken Parish Council, to give them my update and hear their views on Local Government Reorganisation.
A meeting of fellow Conservative councillors to discuss the upcoming Full Council meeting, and then Overviewing and Scrutinising the Mayor on Thursday.
Alongside the normal resident emails, zoom calls and actually having a social life… (we all know the latter isn’t true)
A lot goes on behind the scenes in local government and officers and councillors of all parties are working hard to get a better deal for residents against the difficulty of the current government.
