East Cambs has this evening backed Option B for Labour’s enforced Local Council Reorganisation – which would put us with our rural economic partners of Fenland, Peterborough and Huntingdonshire.
It will allow highly localised working and service delivery without being built over like Cambridge will be, and without our rural area being ruled like a city.
Now we wait for Government to decide, and we will work hard whatever the outcome to get the best for our residents. Onwards 💪
(PS we’re also taking cross party action to tackle empty homes. Well done to all my colleagues for their work on this!)
