🌳 SAVE OUR FARMLAND! 🌳
✅ Last night the East Cambs Conservatives PASSED a Motion at the District Council to engage with the company and stand up against the largest wind farm in England being built on our farmland at Shippea Hill.
🛑 Shockingly, and to the dismay of residents watching, the Liberal Democrats all voted AGAINST this motion.
📝 This laid bare their view for residents to see: the loss of acres of farmland is OKAY to them – and it is so huge that it will still be acres, even if they farm around them.
🌳They dismissed the wildlife concerns. They said there might not be batteries on site. But it is obvious that these are both true.
🚧 They said we should wait for more information. We disagree. They waited for more information to come out against Sunnica Solar Farm, and by then it was too late.
💙 East Cambs Conservatives are undeterred by our Lib Dem colleagues. We will fight AGAINST this wind farm and FOR sustainable farming, appropriate scale renewable energy and FOR the residents of East Cambridgeshire.
